The local tannery owner, Reb Ahron Ganz, known as Herr Ganz, treats all his workers fairly. Everyone thinks it's a privilege to work for him, except the two brothers, Christopher and Columbus. They request a job for their brother, Otto. Otto is a good worker. However, he does his job in a rather dangerous fashion, despite Reb Ahron's countless warnings to be more careful.
